‘Bunny’ Shaw provides positive update on surgery

Record breaking Reggae Girls striker Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw on Tuesday( April 30) shared a positive update on her recent surgery, noting that she is looking forward to making a full recovery.

Shaw was injured last Sunday after scoring twice in a game between Manchester City and West Ham United.

According to Shaw, she was “gutted” to learn that her injuries were more serious than she had initially thought, confirming that she had suffered a broken foot.

“Gutted to know I suffered a broken foot in the game against West Ham but grateful that the surgery went well,” said Shaw in a social media post.

“The greatest story (sic) are those who define (sic) all odds. Thanks to everyone for the heartwarming well wishes on my road to recovery. I will continue to work hard off the pitch during my rehab and I can’t wait to be back doing what I love,” she added.

Friends and fans of Shaw have been sharing their well wishes online including Usain Bolt, Leon Bailey and Agent Sasco.

The Manchester City striker is to miss the remainder of the Women’s Super League season.
