Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’s wife speaks out, says singer was not sick prior to his death

Mireille Perry, wife of iconic reggae producer and singer  Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, has refuted claims that her husband was sick prior to his passing.

Mireille affectionately called ‘Miri’ made the bombshell revelation in an Instagram post on Monday (August 30).

According to Miri, her husband’s death was not illness related, hinting that there may have been issues with the care he was receiving.

The widowed Perry blamed her husband’s death on the persons who were taking care of him, at the time of his passing.

“This catastrophic loss is totally unexpected and unbelievable. Lee was not sick, I promise I will get justice for the mishandling that took place,” Perry said in an IG post.

“I promise I will not stop until we get justice from the people responsible for his death,” she added.

The  singer’s wife also stated that she had evidence to support her claims.

“The people responsible for his death are not going to get away with his passing. We have 100 per cent evidence that he would still be alive if they had not done what they did also out of money and greed,” she said.

Lee, who was 85-years-old at the time of his passing was said to have been battling illnesses.
